| CBC '85 CLASS REUNION |
|
24th October 2005 Oh what a night!! The CBC Monkstown 1985 - 2005 reunion took place on Saturday 15th October and was a spectacular success. We had over 90 attending from all around Ireland, the UK, New York (John Ryan), Spain (Dave Fogarty), Budapest (Derek Cahill) and even Singapore (Jim Byrden). Judging from the amazing feedback we've had, everybody really enjoyed themselves and a superb night was had by all. Our spies tell us that CBC lads were still visible in Killiney Castle at 5.30am And here is the evidence We have put together a cracker of a video / photo compilation. You need to have the Quicktime player / plug-in installed on your machine - if not, download it here. This is highly recommended viewing and worth the effort - make sure you have your speakers turned on. A special word of thanks to Joe Bracken for being our unofficial photographer on the night and for putting together this superb video View it here (5mb file, best if you have broadband) And our sincere gratitude Thanks again to Pat Fox for putting on a most enjoyable and very nostalgic function at the school beforehand. We know that this meant a lot to all of us who attended, and we all really appreciated the opportunity to visit old classrooms and see the school for a final time before its reconstruction. We are also grateful to the various teachers for joining us, it was quite a buzz to see John Wrafter, John Hughes, Brendan Dunne, Pat Fox and Seamus Brennan. We are also most grateful to the PPU for their valuable assistance along the way. And finally - thanks to all you guys for making the effort to come from all over the country, from all over the UK and especially those who travelled from far flung corners of the earth. It was amazing to see the same old faces, slightly older and wiser, but unchanged in most respects. And a final touch Finally, if you want to keep in touch with any of the guys, including some who couldn't make it, you can contact them here (sorry - we cannot provide email addresses directly unfortunately). Should you want contact details for anyone, please get in touch with us directly and we will do our best to help. We hope you enjoyed the night, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 10 years (ugh!!!)
